Where in the World...

Last night Aaron and I went to see Rockapella at MSC Opas.  (We have season tickets)  OMG!  These guys are awesome.  Like always when going to Opas, I had no idea what to expect.  When I read in the program that they sing Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, I must admit that I was pretty excited!

Little did I know that it would be like a NKOTB concert.  These boys were doing their little moves that really had me laughing.  I was very entertained by the human drums (the guys that does the drum noises with his mouth).  Best part ever the encore....  Where in the World is Carmen San Diego.

Sonogram

Last week we went in for our sonogram.  Our baby looked good.  Amazing how big junior has gotten!!  Almost one pound!  We stayed strong and did not find out the baby's sex.  I am so proud of us.  Hopefully we won't have to stay strong again.  =)  Here is a link to the website that Aaron uploaded the sonogram to.  You will see a blue Q while it is loading.  It may take a minute or two to load.  Hope you enjoy!

Tomorrow we go in for our 20 week visit and I will post about that.

The Beauty of College Station

Last Thursday after my sonogram, Aaron and I went to eat at On The Border. I thought that I would give Mexican one more try (I have not wanted to eat Mexican at all this pregnancy... very unusual)... We walk up and there is a security looking dude at the door.

Barbara and George Bush, Sr were coming to lunch at OTB! How cool!!! They of course pulled up in a black suburban. I noticed Barbara's snowy hair right away. Pretty fun for a Thursday afternoon!

17 Weeks

I am now 4 months along. Wow!!! Just for kicks I thought I would post a pic of my ever growing belly. Today one little girl told me that my stomach is big... Still not what I want to hear. I haven't gained much weight, it just seems to be rearranging itself. Looks like I will need to be busting out the maternity tops soon! I am already loving my maternity bottoms.

Pre-pregnancy in Stillwater, OK this summer.

8 weeks after our first doctor appointment.

17 weeks before going to see Sweeney Todd.

Lost Maples

Aaron and I went camping at Lost Maples this weekend. I bought Aaron a tent last Christmas and we had not yet used it!!! It was time to do it before I got too big to sleep on the ground.

It was a very exciting trip because it was our first family trip with Buddy. We found that if you wear Buddy out by hiking for 2 hours, he will do a great job camping!!!

Lost Maples is in the middle of the Hill Country close to Kerrville. It is so amazing that it can be so beautiful in the state of Texas. We went this weekend so that we could see some of the fall foliage. It was really cool to see leaves that are actually not only doo-doo brown.

The drive was amazing. I miss seeing hills and it's been awhile since I have been on any roads that have steep grade signs. One of the roads is apparently a really fun drive for motorcycles and convertibles because there was a photographer out there taking pics. You can see us at the following link. http://www.jwimaging.exposuremanager.com/p/10-25-2008cars/10-25-200830614

Aaron saw his first bison on the trip and it was unbelievable the number of deer that we say. It's also fun to see the goats that people have in their yards.

Here is a link to Aaron's website so that you can see the pics of the trip. It would just take way to long to upload all the pics!!!

16 Week Checkup

We went to the doctor today and had our 16 week checkup. Everything is moving right along. I appear to be right on track at 16 weeks. The babies heartbeat was really strong today and that was wonderful to hear. Last time (12 week appointment) the placenta was in front so it was tough to hear and we had to do a sonogram to make sure that everything was normal.

We have our sonogram in 3 weeks and at the next regular appointment we will be halfway there. I cannot believe it!!! This pregnancy is flying by and it is still a little surreal to me. I am looking a little pregnant. I promise to post some pics soon.

Right now our little peanut is about the size of one of my favorite foods, an avocado. =)

Hopefully in the next month or so we will be painting the baby's room. YAY!! A nice and neutral yellow.

Riding Out Ike

I woke up this morning around 6:30 AM because I could hear the wind whipping around outside of our window. I was very excited to find out that our electricity is still working! YAY! So now I am sitting here watching the storm. The winds have picked up and the rain is definitely harder. Buddy wanted to go out, but when we got our he just sat on the porch a little overwhelmed. that was earlier before the rain was too bad. We have some branches down in the yard, but right now that is all of the damage that we have. Lucky for us the eye is east of here so we are on the "good" side. I was very nervous yesterday. Pregnant women should not have to go through hurricanes...

Colorado

Aaron and I got to go up to Boulder this week to see our great friends, James and Eileen and their beautiful daughter Ella. We had a total blast! Boulder is so funny! The people are total hippies. We got to drive up into the mountains a few times and scared the pants off me! I am not a big fan of mountain roads. Hanging out with Ella was tons of fun! Aaron taught her how to High 5. It made my heart so happy to see how happy a book could make her and how she could spend so long just looking through one! Here are some of our pics!

Here we are on the first day up at Gold Hill. It is a really little town at the top of a mountain and was one of the first Gold Mines in Colorado.

Here we are in Estes Park. It was nice and chilly which I love in the summer! Ella ate her first ice cream cone in Estes Park.

Here we are at Boulder Falls. The water is so stinkin' cold!!!

Here is our last night together when my wonderful husband drove Eileen and I into Boulder so that we could have a margarita together for the first time in AGES. Her wonderful hubby stayed in and watched Ella. We sat on a rooftop patio and watched the sunset. How great!

4th of July

Aaron's brother and family got in town just in time to celebrate the 4th of July in College Station. They are here visiting for a few months from New Zealand. As always Chad made super good burgers and the boys set off some great fireworks! Buddy even got to go visit although he was a little scared of the fireworks...

Isn't my niece, Honey soooo cute!

Crazy Kids!

I have been playing mom for the last few days. Watching my siblings while the parentals are in the Bahamas... In the tradition of the old days we had to do something fun and silly... So I decided that we should go to Gattitown to do so good old fashioned family bonding. We had a blast! After eating our yummy pizza, we went to the play room. (They all thought they were too cool, but they did have a little fun.) I wanted us to play the horse race game, but only compete against each other so that one of us was assured the winning spot. So when we were asked if we wanted to join I said no we just want to play together. Then Jenny says, yeah we want to get the prize... Well just so you know, I WON!!!! YAY for me! I was even kind enough to give Jenny my ducky. When it was time to cash in our 40 points (yes, we are that good), we decided on vampire teeth all around. Then on the way out we got some icees to go and the boys were walking around eating pizza without a plate. Erik even got some to go...So check out our fun pics!

Holy Moly!

So this cute little thing was by my feet in bed this morning!!! I have been staying at my parents house babysitting the siblings while the parentals are in the Bahamas, and this is what climbs into bed with me!!!! I really miss Aaron and Buddy. I guess I won't complain about Buddy sharing the bed since at least I have yet to find a spider when he's in bed with us...

Buddy and all the rest

Buddy's newest favorite toy. This is like one of 3 toys that we have bought that he is not able to tear up... He loves to sleep with the Kong.

This is Buddy on the ride to Dallas... For the first hour we had to fight to get him to stay in the back. Finally we won and he feel asleep...

At my parent's Buddy had to stay in the backyard during the day. The Ringqvist's are not dog people.... Once we got there, he did not sit down for about 9 hours until he went to sleep. It was so fun for him to chase after bunnies off his leash!

Here is Buddy crashed out in the only shade he could find on the 2nd day.

Here is our first official family portrait. Aren't we just so cute. This is after Jenny's graduation and we had to go outside to hang out with Buddy!

Jenny's Graduation

Jenny graduated the day after Mikael's birthday... In case you did not already know she is continuing the Ringqvist tradition of being a Fightin' Texas Aggie! Here is how she decorated her cap.

All the Ringqvist kids! My how we've grown!!!! I can't believe that half of us have graduated from high school, although it was like a million years ago that I did...

Here is Jenny with mom and dad. Enjoy the home cooking while you've got it Jenny... oh yea, now you can just come to my house...

McKinney

We were in McKinney last week for Mikael's birthday. Here he is on his 17th birthday!! I can't believe that he is so old!!!!

Trifecta No. 3

So we just celebrated the 3rd Annual Bryant Trifecta. We have been married for 2 years now! Wow time flies!!!

Here's the super yummy cookie cake that we got to celebrate the birthdays and anniversary. Because we are really just grown up kids, we went and played putt-putt on my birthday. Then we went out to eat for our anniversary on Friday. On Sunday we went to eat with Aaron's family. Lots of fun and we even got some new games for the Wii. Just what we need. Aaron got us a WiiFit. It is sooo fun!! Many people are highly entertained by my virtual hula hooping! I got Aaron Super Mario Galaxy. So needless to say I have lost my magic touch on MarioKart. BUT it is summer vacation now, so I will have time to play more than once a week!

Aaron and I on my birthday!

Here is our little group who went and played blacklight putt-putt with us. The bowling alley has recently undergone renovations and this little gem is part of it. We had lots of fun. I have not played putt-putt for my birthday since I was in about 3rd grade because I pretty much stink and don't really like to loose... Like most times I play, I was in fact in last place... Oh well, good thing that I have learned how to control my temper a little better in the last 20+ years.

Here are my buddies who just left College Station. I am very sad to see them go and don't know what I will do without them. Here we are at the Fox and the Hound the night before school was out. Why do I think that it is a good idea to stay out until 11 PM on a school night????

Last but never least, here is a little pic of our baby. Buddy loves to lick Aaron's head.

Guess What?!?! Guess What?!?!?

Sorry that there has been no post lately but we have some exciting news!

We got a

So as you can imagine, we have been very busy playing all of our favorite games... I will not tell you my Wii age because I might as well be a grandma according to them...

My very favorite game has quickly become Mario Cart. I am working very hard to unlock my Mii because Aaron has... you know that I am very competitive. =)

Gotta go and play a little more Mario Cart.
